When We Are Closed

The surgery is open 08:30 to 18:00, Monday to Friday.

The GPs see have a number of appointments between 07.30 - 08.30 on certain days. The internal door will be locked however, if you have one of these appointments, please wait in the porch and the clinician will come to get you.

In order to obtain medical advice outwith these hours, call NHS 24 on 111.

When your call is answered, you will either:  

1. be given advice by a doctor or nurse,
2. be invited to attend a centre at one of the local hospitals or
3. be advised that a home visit will be arranged, if you are too ill to visit the centre. Transport to and from the centre is available if you cannot arrange this yourself.

Out of hours cover is now the responsibility of GGNHSB.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
